Larry Rosenberg has been enthusiastically pushing forward in the title insurance industry and cultivating strong relationships with his client base for over a decade. With a keen eye for detail, Larry uses his talents and in-house team to guide clients through the closing process while they grow their businesses.
Larry comes from Howard Beach, Queens, where he spent his high school years playing for two city-champion football teams. Straight out of high school, Larry entered the tradeshow exhibit building business, culminating in him starting his own company in 1992. He would eventually sell the company to a private equity firm. His tradeshow company remains one of the largest exhibit-building companies in the country. In the early 2010s, Larry entered the title industry as a New Business Development Manager. He would later join Langdon Title as a Partner in 2019, where he works to help his clients succeed with their commercial and residential transactions.
Outside of his career, Larry spends his time on the things that matter to him: philanthropy, family, and community building. Over the last few years, Larry has raised over half a million dollars for the Bicol Clinic Foundation by organizing golf outings on their behalf. On the weekends, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters on Shelter Island. He is also a member of Shelter Island’s Lions Club, a voluntary service club with a focus on building community through philanthropy and social events.

WHAT IS TITLE INSURANCE?
Title insurance protects one of the most valuable assets you’ll ever have – real estate. Title insurance is different than most other types of insurance coverage in that: (i) a title policy provides protection for future claims or future losses resulting from title defects which are created by some past event, and (ii) the insured makes only one premium payment for a lifetime of coverage. To ensure this protection, Langdon Title performs an extensive search and examination of the public records to determine whether there are any adverse claims to the subject real estate. If adverse claims are discovered, those claims are either eliminated prior to the issuance of a title policy or their existence is excepted from coverage. In certain cases, there are “hidden risks” that are not discoverable by a search and examination of the public records. Matters such as forgery, incompetency or incapacity of the parties, fraudulent impersonation, and unknown errors in the records are examples of “hidden risks” which could result in an adverse claim against the insured property. Title insurance will pay for defending against any lawsuit attacking the insured title, and will either resolve the title problems or pay the insured’s losses.
